Long Lake (P)
Long Lake is located just a little bit outside of Phelps and about a half hour from Eagle River. Long Lake is almost 900 acres and it connects to Big Sand Lake which is about 1400 acres. The isolated location of the lake makes it a quiet lake. In addition to being quiet, the lake has deep (30 ft avg) clear (12 ft clarity) water and a variety of fish. There are about 17 owners per mile of shoreline.

Vista Lake Bike Routes - Trail lengths from three to thirteen miles running through the Nicolet National Forest. Trail surface varies.
Snowmobile Trails:
The Phelps Snowmobile Club trails can be accessed to the west and the north of the lake. They maintain over 40 miles of trails from Lac Vieux Desert to North Twin Lake.
ATV Trails:
The Landover ATV Club Trails run just to the south of the lake. It is a vast network of ATV trails that connect Eagle River to Upper Michigan. There are a variety of riding options ranging from paved roads to trails through the national forests. By far the largest ATV trail network in Vilas County.
