Flambeau Lake

   Flambeau Lake is an interesting lake. While it is right in town and there are a fair amount of things going on around it, there aren't a lot of homes on the lake. Lots of water is accessible from Flambeau Lake as it is part of the Fence Lake Chain. The lake has good fishing, a nice bike trail that loops around it, and a real Northwoods feel. The clarity is great, checking in at about 20 feet. The shoreline of Flambeau Lake is almost twelve miles and a lot of it is undeveloped. There are less than five owners per mile of shoreline and there are twenty acres of water per owner on the lake. Flambeau Lake sits right in Lac du Flambeau, offering deep, clear water and a strong Northwoods feel even though it is surrounded by community activity. There are relatively few homes directly on the lake, so large stretches of shoreline feel more open and less developed than its in-town location might suggest. A bike trail loops around the lake, and the mix of town access, casino, and tribal and community lands makes it a unique blend of cultural hub and scenic water. It sits right in town with deep, clear water, limited shoreline housing, and a bike loop around the lake, so it feels both active and surprisingly open. It's an easy spot to pair time on the water with casino visits, community events, and town-center amenities.
