Buckskin Lake

   Buckskin Lake is a very shallow 634-acre public spring-fed lake that's a 14-minute drive from Lac Du Flambeau with low water clarity. This 600-plus-acre, very shallow spring lake is about 15 minutes from town with low clarity and extensive weeds that favor fishing and pontooning over high-speed boating. The combination of shallow depths and stained water gives it a weed-rich, fishy character more suited to pontoons, fishing rigs, and smaller boats than high-speed watersports, with a broad, open feel. Being only about 15 minutes from Lac du Flambeau, it offers easy access while still feeling a bit removed from town center.
