Big Stone Lake is one of the more popular lakes on the Three Lakes Chain of Lakes. It has easy access from Highway 32, is good sized and has a nice spot to eat located on it's shoreline (The Sunset Grill). Big Stone Lake is only a few miles out of Three Lakes and the drive is on Hwy 32, so it is a well maintained road that gets you places a lot faster than some of the rougher back roads around the chain.

Paddling Routes:
No nearby paddling routes but the Three Lakes/Eagle River Chain of Lakes offers days and days of paddling opportunities.
Snowmobile Trails:
Part of the Three Lakes Trails system of trails runs right across the lake. This system has over 180 miles of groomed trails that takes you all over the northwoods. Like all the other trails up north, the trail system connects to other systems giving you access to anywhere you want to go explore on your sled.
