Alva Lake
Alva Lake is a really nice smaller lake. The water clarity is nearly 19 feet and the average depth is almost 30 feet. The public launch is carry in only so boat traffic is lower than other lakes. Many of the lots around the lake are pretty steep to the water. Alva Lake is about 25 minutes northwest of Rhinelander and has about 22 owners per mile of shoreline.

Cassian County Two-Way Trail - A 15 mile flat to moderately rolling unpaved trail system that is groomed in the winter for cross country skiing.
